SWIFT Audit

The SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) community established the Customer Security Program (CSP) to define and strengthen security standards in international financial messaging between institutions.

The program mandates that all organizations with access to the SWIFT network comply with a defined set of security controls aimed at reducing the risk of cyber threats and ensuring the integrity of global financial transactions. As of the second quarter of 2021, SWIFT requires that CSP compliance be verified through internal or external audits. Self-attestations are no longer accepted; only official audit reports conducted by qualified assessors are recognized.
